The Role

Attract and onboard talent to News Corp by performing transactional recruitment tasks in line with talent acquisition practice standards, supporting processes and service level arrangements. A typical day could see you:

  • Attain role briefs from Hiring Managers, write job advertisements, screen candidates, arrange interviews, conduct employment checks and submit contract requests.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system, develop talent pools, perform strategic sourcing and provide advice to Hiring Managers when needed.  
  • Provide effective candidate care in addition to accurate and diligent maintenance of all employment documentation.
  • Support Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners with various recruitment related activities across Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Corporate and Operations.
  • Assist with talent acquisition process improvements as required.

Who you are

This role would ideally suit someone who wants to work between 15 - 20 hours, 4 days a week. This is a fixed-term contract role until September 2019.

  • We’re seeking someone who has previous talent acquisition experience. However, if you have solid administration experience with a strong passion for talent acquisition then we want to hear from you too!  
  • You must be systems savvy and have top-notch communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You’ll be experienced in managing multiple tasks and deadlines, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and importantly manage the expectations of key stakeholders.
  • You’ll be known for your ability to handle confidential information, ability to use your initiative and a resilient mindset.
  • You can confidently influence and negotiate with strong-willed stakeholders and you get a kick out of building relationships with diverse, passionate and dynamic teams.
  • It’s advantageous if you’ve worked within a large, complex and changing organisation however it’s not a deal-breaker.
